Installation Overview:
The patented Billboarder Banner Framing System™ comes in 8-foot lengths. Each 8-foot length includes two pieces: the base plate and the capping plate. Self-tapping screws and rubber compression gaskets are also included.
Using the long screws provided, you attach the base plate to the truck or interior/exterior wall. You insert the rubber compression gaskets into the gasket trap over each screw head location.
Note: you only need to attach the base plate to the wall or truck and insert the gaskets during the initial installation, not every time you change out the banner.
No need to pre-cut the banner to the correct size. The top side of your banner is the only side you pre-cut and place against the top cutting groove. With the banner taped along the cutting groove, you then cut the other 3 sides with a razor using the Cutting Groove as a mechanical guide. When you cut the 3 sides, your banner is automatically trimmed to the perfect size. Simply insert a razor blade through the banner and into the cutting groove.
You temporarily tape the banner to the base plate with super-easy-to-remove duct tape. You hook the anodized capping plate onto the outside edge of the base plate, and attach the cap to the base plate using the short screws provided. The short screws bring the inside edge of the capping plate completely down to the wall, tightening the banner, so flat it looks like it’s painted on. You’re done with your initial installation!
Changing banners is easy, and is a major feature of the Billboarder Banner Framing System. Just remove the capping plate, undo the duct tape by pulling the banner off, roll up the old banner for future reuse, and repeat the process above (skipping the base plate installation, and starting with taping the banner to the base plate) to install your new banner.
Note: There has been an improvement so you no longer need to install any rubber at all. So watch the video, just ignore the part that puts in any rubber.
